Hmm, I tried to reproduce this on Linux with both ZTS and without ZTS
and could not find any memory problems (tested with valgrind as well).
I have no access to MacOSX so can't help you further there. Perhaps you
can try to build PHP in non-ZTS mode, and are you sure you did use fresh
sources?
