[xdebug-general] xdebug socket timeout

Hi,

I can't seem to get xdebug working on my ubuntu server working.
Its all installed and I use Vim as my PHP IDE.
When I press F5 to start xdebug, i get the
"waiting for a new connection on port 9000 for 5 seconds...."

and then

"connection from ('192.168.10', 53651)
connection closed, stop debugging (<class 'socket.timeout'>, timeout('timed
out'), <traceback object at 0x1b89ab8>)"

I have tried to increase the default timeout from 5 to 30 but still doesn't
work.
would you know whats wrong?
