Just to let you know, I still haven't figured a way to compile these things
here on Windows XP SP2.
When I enable xdebug on php.ini (zend_extension_ts thing), my apache process
is killed once in a while (happening from 2 times/minute to a few/day - it
happens more often when I'm using smarty tho).
So I'm just enabling it when I want to really debug something, and hoping it
works.
PHP Version 5.2.6
Apache Version Apache/2.2.9 (Win32) PHP/5.2.6
zend_extension_ts=php_xdebug-2.0.3-5.2.5.dll
(tried diff versions of all of these already)
Something just hit me, could it be a MySQL/PHP/xdebug/something encoding
thing?

I'm trying to build xDebug on Windows myself using Visual Studio Express and
xdebug is not been nice...
I've thrown it on top of php src, as I did in Linux. It overwrites some
stuff but I'm ok with that.
But it looks for "php.h" and others in root directory and they're under
\main. Moving it around is not an option (already spent some time fixing
dirs w/ no luck).
Am I doing a mess or what? :)
Thanks guys,

Check out Apache's mod_backtrace:

cktrace/
I had a problem using XDebug pre-built binaries about three or
four years ago on a client's Windows system. Building from source
cleared it right up. As for *NIX systems, no exaggeration, I've used
it on roughly 200 servers and development machines, and never had an
issue. I'd say Derick can count that as a win.
