[xdebug-general] Installation Problems

    Box Config:
        Mandriva Linux Community 2006
        PHP 5.0.4
        xdebug 2.0RC3

No matter what I try, I've been unsuccessful in my attempts to install
both xdebug and APD. I keep receiving messages such as this:

Failed loading /usr/lib/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/xdebug.so:
/usr/lib/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/xdebug.so: undefined symbol:
zend_memory_usage

This is displayed when, from the command line, I type: php -m

Other errors would show up with different builds, but all refer to zend
functions. This is the common theme between both xdebug and APD, so the
problem must exist somewhere between the chair and the keyboard.... but I'm
stumped. I've been researching and testing different options for about two
hours now.

    Any ideas?
