Summary: API access to profiling information
Description:
I think it would be usefull to allow API access to profiling information in
addition to the current functionality where the profiling information is
written to a file.

I can't implement this really, as profiling information is written
*directly* to disk without any memory storage. All I can provide is the
location where it is written to.
