i downloaded http://www.xdebug.org/link.php?url=xdebugclient-0.9.0-lnx

how do i get the .so file?

does this need to be uncompressed to the .so? can i do that on my local
windows pc? or, is there a php command i can execute on the host to
uncompress it?
