[xdebug-general] newbie: how to debug with xdebug step by step

Hi all,
I'm just heared about xdebug afew hours ago and
I already config my php.ini file so that apache server can detect it.

with test.php, my IE output is:

I think my setup is succefull.
But then I don't know how to continue to work with xdebug.
Suppose that I have a php script with an error on it. How can I debug that
error?
Could anyone guide me step by step on it?
