[xdebug-general] Apache crash for PHP 5.1.0-dev and Xdebug

Hi,

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place for this kind of question,
or if I've just completely misunderstood something :)

When I use Xdebug Apache will crash when I try to view some parts of my
website. I can get to the login-page and the first page after login, but
then Apache will inevitable crash. My site is a fairly complex custom-built
Content Management system with about 80 php-classes of which ~40 are used to
generate every page. The login-page itself uses 27 classes.
Apache also crashed when it's shut down manually (stopping the
service/pressing ctrl+c).

I intended to use Xdebug for profiling (identifying bottlenecks) since this
system is now beginning to get really slow (~1.2 seconds/page on a dual 2GHz
system).

I'm using Windows XP, PHP 5.1.0-dev (Apr 26 2005 04:15:08), Apache 2.0.49,
and the Win32-image from http://xdebug.org/link.php?url=snap-51-win. I have
also tried with PHP build Apr 5 2005 12:22:26.

Apparently it seems to work with PHP 5.0.5-dev (Apr 26 2005 02:18:08) and
the Win32-image from http://xdebug.org/link.php?url=snap-50-win. That
version is however slower then 5.1, so I can't use it in production.

Any ideas about this? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Albin Rangefelt
